### Username
In the email send to you the username has RESEARCHLUMC\username as an username construction.
This only works if you login into a windows workstation or if you change your password on the
change password site https://passwd.researchlumc.nl/
For all shark related usernames DO NOT use the RESEARCHLUMC\username construction leave the RESEARCHLUMC\ out,
hence your username for shark and the SSH jumpserver is : username

## Shark can be accessed with SSH.
Note for now you can only use an IP address and no hostnames!!
Note You need a [Research account.](https://git.lumc.nl/shark/SHARK/wikis/ResearchAccount)
----
## From LUMCNET/RESEARCH
`ssh ResearchUsername@145.88.65.251`
or
`ssh ResearchUsername@145.88.65.155`
## Login from home Linux/MAC
Create a config file inside your .ssh directory and add the following **(only for MAC/Linux users)**
`vi ~/.ssh/config`
Add the following
````
Host slurmshark
Compression yes
CompressionLevel 9
ForwardX11 yes
Hostname 145.88.65.251
User YourResearchUsername
ProxyCommand ssh -q -X -C YourResearchUsername@145.88.35.10 nc %h %p
````
**Make sure that the permissions are set correctly for your .ssh directory.**
Set the read, write, execute permission for the user for the .ssh directory:
`chmod 700 ~/.ssh`
Set the read, write permission for the user on all the files in your .ssh directory.
`chmod 600 ~/.ssh/*`
**Now you can connect directly from home to the new shark using the research SSH server as a proxy.**
To connect type:
`ssh slurmshark`
Type twice your password.

## Login from home Windows

* Use putty with a ssh jumpserver setting
* use MobaXterm with a ssh jumpserver setting
