This Shark cluster is available for Next Generation Sequencing support and scientific research.
The Shark cluster consist of 40 nodes, 13 nodes are owned by the LGTC, 4 node is owned by Human Genetics, 7 nodes are owned by Division 5, 2 nodes are owned by Medical Statistics, 6 nodes are owned by Moleculaire Epidemiologie, 3 nodes are owned by Klinical Genetics, 2 nodes are owned by Paracitology and 3 nodes are owned by Medical Microbiology.
To use the Division 5 nodes we need a written explanation emaild to LGTC@lumc.nl stating the purpose and what tools you want to use. Students may also use the Shark cluster for Next Generation Sequencing purpose only, but will need the approval of a staff member. The account can therefore only be requested by a staff member.
The request will be evaluated by a LGTC staff member and if approved an user account will be created by the cluster admin.
Before your account will be activated you will need to follow a short intro course on how to use the Sun Grid Engine and work on a cluster. Only people with a Certificate singed by the cluster admins can have access to the Shark cluster.
