Open a Terminal and create a directory (if needed)
.ssh in your home directory. Create a config file inside your .ssh directory and add the following:
Add the following
Host resshark Compression yes CompressionLevel 9 ForwardX11 yes Hostname 220.127.116.11 User YourResearchUsername ProxyCommand ssh -q -X -C YourResearchUsername@18.104.22.168 nc %h %p
Make sure that the permissions are set correctly for your .ssh directory.
Set the read, write, execute permission for the user for the .ssh directory:
chmod 700 ~/.ssh
Set the read, write permission for the user on all the files in your .ssh directory.
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/*
Now you can connect directly from home to the new shark using the research SSH server as a proxy.
To connect type:
Type twice your password.
