Retrieving RefSeq by geninfo identifier (GI) only works if record is in the database

By coincidence I noticed that specifying a reference by GI number only works if the reference was downloaded before (presumably by accession number) and is in the database.

This surprised me a little, but going back though the code history, I see that this has always been the case.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
